Pitzer College Acting President Thomas Poon takes the ALS ice bucket challenge – with a sustainable Pitzer twist. In deference to California’s threatened environment during the on-going historic severe drought, he takes a modest 8-ounce ice-water shower in a drought tolerant garden and invites his fellow presidents of the Claremont Colleges in Claremont, California to also take the challenge. Poon was joined by students Molly Hickey ’17 and Chance Kawar ’17 and made a donation to the ALS Association.
