Alumni & Family Ambassadors

Since its founding in 1963, Pitzer College has relied on alumni and family volunteers to create a connected community and make an impact on the lives of Pitzer students. Please join this proud tradition and share your volunteer interest today.

Volunteer Opportunities

Be a Career Services Ambassador and provide Pitzer students real-world experience and advice to further their career development. Offer job-shadowing or internship opportunities through the Office of Career Services.

Be an Event Ambassador and help plan engagement activities for the Pitzer community. Volunteer regionally or at on-campus events such as Family Orientation or Family Weekend. Due to the pandemic, all events will be held until further notice.

Be a Social Media Ambassador, or “super user,” to promote Pitzer. Post, like, and share your unique experiences and the latest news about the College.

Be a Fundraising Ambassador and encourage others to invest in the Pitzer experience.

Pitzer’s Institute for Global/Local Action & Study (IGLAS) invites you to become an IGLAS Ambassador. IGLAS prepares Pitzer students to be engaged, socially responsible citizens of the world through a variety of resources, including the College’s FirstGen Program and the Office of Fellowships & Scholarships. As an IGLAS Ambassador, you can offer encouragement to first-generation college students during their Pitzer journey. IGLAS is also looking for volunteers who have received post-graduate awards, such as Fulbright and Watson fellowships, to share their experiences and advice with current students who are applying for one of these prestigious honors.

Be an Admission Ambassador and help conduct interviews with prospective students in your area (alumni only).

Be a member of the Alumni Board or Family Leadership Council and inspire others to be involved with Pitzer.

Family Association

The mission of the Pitzer College Family Association is to serve and engage the community by fostering relationships between families and the College, support the development of engaged, socially responsible citizens of the world, and initiate and lead programs that further the advancement of the College.

All parents of current students and alumni at Pitzer College are considered members of the Family Association.

Family Leadership Council

The Family Leadership Council (FLC) serves as the leadership and representative volunteer organization for the Pitzer College Family Association, which is directed by the Office of Alumni & Family Engagement.

The mission of the Family Leadership Council is to uphold the core values of Pitzer College through organized family outreach. As family ambassadors, the Family Leadership Council assists the Alumni & Family Engagement office with the design and implementation of programs to engage families and cultivate support for the College.
