Pitzer College Staff Recognized by Claremont Graduate University School of Educational Studies

Claremont, Calif. (March 24, 2011) — Pitzer College Vice President of College Advancement Dennis Trotter and Director of Admission Angel Perez were recognized with The Excellence in the Study of Higher Education Award at Claremont Graduate University School of Educational Studies' 2011 Student Recognition Awards Ceremony held March 10.

Trotter and Perez, both higher education PhD candidates at CGU, were recognized for their excellence in academic studies, scholarly writing and unusual service to colleagues and students.

In addition, Amber Carrow '03, the 2010 California Teach of the Year, presented "Live from the Trenches: Making the Profession of Teaching Personal" at the Sally Loyd Casanova Distinguished Alumni Lecture that immediately followed the award ceremony. She majored in sociology while at Pitzer.
