Sagehen Women's Tennis Advances to NCAA Elite Eight

Claremont, Calif. (May 18, 2010) — Pitzer College congratulates Jamie Solomon '13 and the entire Sagehen women's tennis team for advancing to the NCAA Division III Elite Eight.

Solomon is currently ranked third with a 20-5 record in the west for singles and second in doubles with her partner Kara Wang PO '13.

Sagehens took at 5-1 win over Chapman University on May 15 to advance to the NCAA Tennis Championship tournament, May 28-30 at Mary Washington University.

Pitzer College joins with Pomona College in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Sagehen teams include soccer, basketball, football, baseball, track & field, golf, tennis, water polo, swimming and diving.
