Gmail (Students)

Service Description:

All students are automatically given Gmail accounts upon admittance to Pitzer College.  Pitzer Gmail accounts have access to Google apps such as: calendar, web-based documents and spreadsheets.  Account information is emailed to students prior to arrival.

How to access the service:

On the Web

Go to: www.pitzer.edu.
Click on the Resources dropdown menu.
Choose Email for Students.

Click on this direct link to access your email: Student Gmail

You will see the following screen.
Here you must put your email in the following format: [email protected]  (leaving off the word students)

Enter your Pitzer email password.
Select Sign in.

Note: When accessing the self serve portal for the first time you will be prompted to setup your password recovery options. Click here for instructions.

Computer Client Software

If you prefer to use personal email client software such as Outlook, Entourage, or IPhone, you will need to configure the settings. On the initial log in to Google Apps you created a password. This password is used specifically to authenticate Google mail with your email client software. Visit the Google apps help center for specific email client instructions.

Misc

The individual email size limits are:

  • 25MB sent
  • 25MB received
  • Larger files can be shared utilizing Google Drives share feature.
