Noosha G. Malek

Noosha Malek received her BA degree in International Studies at California State University, Long Beach. She also completed an academic year abroad in Paris, France, which became the catalyst for her pursuit of a career promoting cultural understanding. She received her doctorate in educational leadership at the University of Southern California. At USC her research explored the paradox of internationalization at community colleges.
Malek started her professional career at USC, where she first worked in international admissions and student affairs. She transitioned to academic affairs for what would become a ten-year career managing competitive fellowship and scholarship programs. She also led the university to receive a distinction as a “Top Fulbright-Producing Institution” and expand its scholarship and student engagement efforts.
Malek has presented and published on cultural identity and received university recognition for her leadership in international education. An avid traveler with a love for adventure, she enjoys spending her free time with her family taking in new experiences near and far.
