The goal of this program is to help Seniors navigate and mitigate their stress and concerns in regards to life post-undergrad / future plans. We plan to do this in a creative and artistic way by facilitating a vision board workshop.
Throughout the workshop we will facilitate the following:
- Ice breakers to start of the activity and break the ice.
- Explanation and our personal examples, of what a vision board is, and what it might look like for this activity.
- Materials scavenger hunt – have students go off for a few mins to collect materials that they feel like would be relevant to their vision board. This could be magazines, pictures, drawings or any other materials they feel that they would like to include. (We will include ideas for materials in prior emails/posters to help students prepare)
- Provide question prompts that are Senior-specific and give participants time to create their vision board and think about their futures! We will play some calming music in the background and create a calming environment for participants to make their board. (eg. What comes next? Building new communities? Maintaining community? How do I say goodbye to Undergrad?)
