Join us for an event covering local-global issues related to trans rights, policy, and advocacy with three panelists who will share their areas of involvement and experiences:
- Nancy Williams will discuss her role in advancing consortial/institution-wide policy and advocacy through their role as the chair of the Trans Awareness Planning and Support (TAPAS) Committee.
- Joana Chai-Chang Azterbaum will discuss her experience working on things like rental assistance, COVID resources, and trans-specific vaccination sites within the state of CA through their previous work at the Trans Latina Coalition and continued activism.
- Sergio will provide an international/national perspective and speak about their work as a Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow (MMUF) and specifically their research “of everyday strategies of trans women resistance in El Salvador and the U.S.
