Race, Gender and Identity in the Bay of All Saints: A Conversation with Filmmaker Eliciana Nascimento
Eliciana Nascimento is an award-winning film director and producer. Her short film, The Summer of Gods, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014. Since then, it has been screened at a variety of international film festivals and received five awards, including three for best short narrative. Nascimento is currently working on a documentary about women empowerment inspired by the stories around the African deity Oshun in both Afro-Brazilian and Afro-Cuban traditions.
