The Black Student Union Annual Bonding Retreat is an excursion sponsored by the Pitzer College BSU that aims to give students of all African descent an opportunity to leave Claremont and have an enjoyable weekend with other students from all parts of the African Diaspora. In the past, we have been able to raise enough money to take students to Big Bear for a two-night three-day retreat. During the retreat, we hope to create a space where students can feel comfortable in their identity and free to express themselves in ways they cannot while on campus. It will serve as a space where we can not only have fun and feel at ease but also have a space where we can talk openly and comfortably about our experiences.
