We hope you will join us on Tuesday, November 29, as we engage in the global day of giving, GivingTuesday. Every gift, great and small, will count toward our 650 donor goal. As you’re thinking about which causes to support, we hope you’ll make Pitzer a priority!
This year’s campaign will highlight three funds central to Pitzer’s core values and mission:
- The Pitzer Fund allows the College to direct resources to the areas of greatest need while supporting new and exciting opportunities for future generations of learners. Gifts to the Pitzer Fund serve as the foundation for a Pitzer education and are directed to three critical areas: scholarships and financial aid; world-class faculty; and a wide range of student programs.
- The Pitzer Internship Fund provides funding for unpaid or low-paid summer internships. The goal of the Pitzer Internship Fund is to support student engagement in meaningful internship experiences that facilitate career exploration and the development of professional skills and networks.
- The Melvin L. Oliver Racial Justice Initiative Fund supports the College’s efforts to promote analysis and activism around racial justice issues through curricular-, co-curricular-, and structural transformation. Gifts to this fund allow the College to reimagine courses and create new ones; invest in faculty and student research projects and creative collaborations; support in-depth research, public talks, and workshops; and support scholarly, research, and programmatic activities.
