
The Pitzer community is invited to a screening of Wajib (“Duty”), an award-winning 2018 film directed by Pitzer alum Annemarie Jacir ’96. Wajib was a New York Times Critic’s Pick and won numerous awards at international film festivals. The screening will be followed with a Q&A via Zoom with Jacir.
This is a hybrid event.
Information for In-Person Participants on the Pitzer Campus:
The screening will take place in Pitzer’s Benson Auditorium. Doors will open at 7:30 pm (California Time), with light refreshments available in the atrium of Benson (with the atrium doors fully open). The screening will commence promptly at 8 PM. Then at 10 pm (California Time; 8 am Palestine time), Annemarie Jacir will join us on zoom for the Q&A.
Please note that in-person participation is limited to 7C students, faculty, and staff (be prepared to show your ID), and proper masking is required indoors at all times; in addition, there is no eating or drinking in the auditorium.
