According to the National Committee on Pay Equity, Equal Pay Day “symbolizes how far into the year women must work to earn what men earned in the previous year.” Though there are several different dates given by various sources, equalpaytoday.org lists March 24, 2021 as the date for this year.
To honor this day and provide support to students, Pitzer Career Services will host an informal event with two of our Board of Trustee members: Julie Flapan, Executive Director, Alliance for California Computing Education for Students and Schools and Gulnar Vaswani, Chief Culture Officer, Leadership Re-Imagined. They will share about their experiences as women in the world of work and then take questions from students.
