Feeling intimidated or overwhelmed by all the details of APA, MLA or other documentation styles? Every discipline has a shared “code language” for giving credit for information and ideas that come from outside sources. What are faculty looking for when they ask you to use these citations in your papers? How can you give other authors credit and avoid plagiarism? This hands-on workshop will highlight some common trouble areas with citation styles across the disciplines and train you in using tools to master your own discipline’s documentation style. Please bring one or more syllabi from this semester as well as any documentation reference book(s) you have been required to purchase, if applicable. Reference books will also be available on site.
