CASA Pitzer: Healing Practices for Racial Justice

March 12 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every month that begins at 3:00 pm on day 12 of the month, repeating until September 10, 2021

CASA Pitzer is hosting Healing Practices for Racial Justice, a monthly 60-minute workshop series aiming to offer tangible healing practices to strengthen wellbeing and resilience as we confront the impact of systemic racial injustice.  A number of BIPOC healer activists have been invited to present an array of healing practices that fortify the spirit and sustain the work of racial justice, including trauma-informed somatic practices, meditation, yoga, traditional plant medicine, and more. The current triple pandemics (racial, economic, and COVID-related) indicate the critical intersections between wellness and justice, between healing justice and racial justice, and the need to strengthen our understanding and practices related to each of these. The virtual workshops are free, accessible and open to all.
