Alumni Artist Talk: Marguerite Elliot ’71 October 14, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm « I’m Not Just A Number | Prison Reform Advocacy in Action Career Chat: Winter Break Job Shadowing » Marguerite Elliot ’71 is a founding member of the Woman’s Building and Feminist Studio Workshop. The experience profoundly changed her life and artistic practice. A co-author of The Woman’s Building and Feminist Art Education 1973-1991: A Pictorial Herstory, she has written, “I am grateful to have been at the forefront of the second wave of feminism. We broke many rules and shook up the art world.” Since then, Elliot’s work has addressed nuclear proliferation, people living on the streets without housing, and environmental issues. A series of alumni artist talks in collaboration with the Office of Alumni and Family Engagement and Pitzer College Art Galleries.
