When should I seek Emergency Care if I have COVID-19?

If you show any of these signs, seek emergency medical care immediately*:

  • Chest pain or trouble breathing
  • New confusion or excessive drowsiness
  • Temperature reaches 103°F or higher at any time
  • A fever of any temperature >99.6°F that lasts more than three days

Call 911 or call ahead to your local emergency facility: notify the operator that you are seeking care for someone who has or may have COVID-19.
