New Members Announced for Pitzer College Alumni Board

Claremont, CA (August 19, 2020)—Pitzer College Office of Alumni & Family Engagement announces five new members to its Alumni Board for 2020-21. They are:

Margaret “Maggie” Vizio ’68, of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, professor emerita of English at Chaffey College; Angela Sanbrano ’75, of La Verne, CA, activist and community organizer and co-executive director of the National Day Laborer Organizing Network; Mark A. Cunningham ’89, of New Orleans, LA, partner at Jones Walker LLP, where he serves in the litigation practice group and as co-leader of the corporate compliance and white collar defense team; Steven Liang ’10, of Los Angeles, CA, film director and storyteller known for his short films Afuera, Coming Home and Falling for Angels; and Kyle K. Dalrymple ’17, of Los Angeles, CA, senior associate at TM Financial Forensics, LLC.

New members join 12 returning members of the board, led by Michele Siqueiros ’95, who begins the second of her two-year term, effective July 1. In this role, Siqueiros also represents alumni and parents on the Pitzer Board of Trustees. She is an education access advocate and president of the nonprofit Campaign for College Opportunity.

In addition, Diana Bob ’02 and Josue Pasillas ’17 have accepted the roles of Alumni Board president-elect and secretary, respectively. Bob, who joined the board in 2018, is the owner of Native Law PLLC, a Seattle-based law firm specializing in Indian law and environmental law. She will take office as president in July 2022. Pasillas is a communications specialist at the Waukegan, IL, park district. Lako Tongun, associate professor of critical global studies and political studies who has taught at Pitzer since 1988, joins the board as faculty representative.

The mission of the Pitzer College Alumni Association is to serve and engage the community by fostering lifelong relationships between alumni and the College, support in developing engaged, socially responsible citizens of the world and initiate and lead programs that further the advancement of the College. The Alumni Board is a volunteer group dedicated to keeping fellow alumni connected with one another and Pitzer College.
