Sagehens Week in Review: October 31–November 6, 2016

Daniel Diemer ’18 recorded 10 saves in the second half of a match against No. 1 Stanford for the Men’s Water Polo team.Although the Sagehens’ fall season is winding down, action on and off the field isn’t letting up. This past week, water polo goalie Daniel Diemer ’18 was named SCIAC Athlete of the Week for the second time this year. Volleyball player Julia Zwaal ’19 and cross-country runners Maddie Bennet ’18 and Julian DeGroot-Lutzner ’19 earned Second Team All-SCIAC honors. And the Sagehens Football team, led by quarterback Edward Sias ’19, chalked up a 21-20 victory over La Verne.

Pitzer College joins with Pomona College to field 21 varsity teams – The Sagehens – that compete in Division III NCAA athletics and as members of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC).
