Claremont, Calif. (May 19, 2015)—Pitzer College student Helen Rodgers ’15, a human biology major and Spanish minor, has been awarded a Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs to St. Louis, MO.

As a Coro fellow, Rodgers plans to work in public health in the St. Louis region, where her family lives. The goal of Coro fellowships is to train the next generation to be versatile leaders who can forge connections and lead across the non-profit, business and government sectors in urban environments.

Rodgers has served as an intern for Missouri Health Care for All, grants manager for the nonprofit Home Works! and as an interpreting intern for Casa de Salud. She studied abroad in Pitzer’s program in Ecuador in spring 2014 and the summer Costa Rica program in 2013.
