Pitzer College Student Awarded a Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Scholarship

Claremont, Calif. (September 22, 2011) — Pitzer College congratulates Lisa Bastio ’13, recipient of a 2011 Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship.

Bastio, who joined Pitzer College in fall 2011, transferred from Mt. San Antonio College where she received several accolades including the Mt. San Antonio College Student of Distinction in Service Award, the Guistwhite Scholarship for academic achievement and the Pepsi Leadership Award.

She is a New Resources Student with plans to major in English at Pitzer College.

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship honors excellence by supporting outstanding community college students with financial need to transfer to and complete their bachelor’s degrees at the nation’s top four-year colleges and universities.
