Claremont, Calif. (January 19, 2011) — Pitzer College alumnus Hayden Hamilton ’99 launched Luminous Lens, an online site that sells contact lenses at a competitive price.
Hamilton, who majored in political studies and economics at Pitzer, established Luminous Lens with the belief that everyone should have access to affordable contact lenses. While most retailers charge $20 or more per box, Hamilton is making it available to consumers for $9.99.
A portion of every purchase at Luminous Lens will be donated to the Himalayan Cataracts Project to help prevent or reverse childhood blindness.
Hamilton’s other businesses include ProgressiveRx.com, an online pharmacy, and GreenPrint, a software program that help users and companies save on printer ink.
