Pitzer College Alumna Debuts Art Installation at SFMOMA Artist Gallery

Claremont, Calif. (December 16, 2010) — Artist Judith Selby Lang ’72 with her collaborator and husband Richard Lang debut their latest installation “Block Party” at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s Artist Gallery windows off Minna and Natoma streets. The exhibition opens until June 11, 2011.

Judith and Richard combine their love of nature with interest in science to produce an on-going series of art works about the oceans and the environment. Since 1999, the artists have used only the plastic objects found from 1,000 yards of one particular beach, Kehoe Beach in the Point Reyes National Seashore, as medium for their work.

Selby Lang majored in art at Pitzer College.
