Sagehen Football Players Named Offensive Player of the Year and to All-Conference Team

Claremont, Calif. ( December 3, 2010) – Sagehen quarterback Jake Caron ’11 was named the 2010 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Offensive Player of the Year and tight end Robert McNitt ’11, a 2010 (SCIAC) First All-Conference Football Team member.

Caron ends his career having thrown more completions, more yards and more touchdowns than any other Sagehen. He completed his senior season as the number 10 ranked passer in the nation in NCAA Division III football.

McNitt led all Sagehen receivers in yards per catch (10.2), averaging 44 yards per game and totaling 39 receptions for 396 yards on the season.

Both players were also selected for the Division III Football Senior Classic and the Bowl of the Stars, an all-star contest featuring the top Division III football players against the Conadeip All-Stars of Mexico.
