Casey Scieszka ’06 Co-Authors To Timbuktu: Nine Countries, Two People, One True Story

Claremont, Calif. (August 26, 2010) — Casey Scieszka ’06 co-authored To Timbuktu: Nine Countries, Two People, One True Story to be published by Roaring Brook Press in March 2011.

To Timbuktu chronicles Scieszka’s and illustrator Steven Weinberg’s first two years out of college teaching English, making friends across language barriers, researching and painting while traveling from Beijing to Timbuktu.

Scieszka majored in sociology and studied abroad in Morocco while attending Pitzer College.
