Pitzer College Receives an Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Grant

Claremont, Calif. (April 14, 2010) – The Pitzer College Center for the Study of Global Communities received a $150,000 grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to support funding of a faculty director position.

The Pitzer College Center for the Study of Global Communities engages students in comparative study of global issues and helps them become effective citizens in an increasingly interconnected and interdependent world.

“Pitzer College is grateful for the support of the Mellon Foundation, and appreciates its continuing investment in liberal education,” said President Laura Skandera Trombley.
