Claremont’s Donald Gould Joins Pitzer College’s Board of Trustees

Claremont, Calif. (June 29, 2006) – Pitzer College is pleased to announce that Donald Gould has been elected to the Pitzer College Board of Trustees. Gould is President and Chief Investment Officer of Gould Asset Management, a global investment management company.

Over Gould’s 25-year career in asset management business, he has established a distinguished track record in the development and application of value-added investment strategies. Prior work experience includes founding the Huntington Funds, a group of innovative globally oriented mutual funds based in Pasadena; president and portfolio manager of the Franklin Templeton Fund Allocator Series; and managing director of Templeton Worldwide, Inc.

“Don Gould has been a respected community leader in Claremont. We look forward to the many talents that he will bring to our Board,” Pitzer College President Laura Skandera Trombley said.

Gould was the past president of the Rotary Club of Claremont, and was the recipient of the 2003 Rotary Foundation District 5300 Service Award. He also serves as the Director of California Energy and Power of Pomona, Calif.

Gould is currently an adjunct faculty member in finance at the Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management at the Claremont Graduate University. He earned his bachelors degree in economics from Pomona College where he served as president of the Pomona College Alumni Association, and has an MBA from Harvard Business School. Don and his wife Pamela live in Claremont with their two children.
