MEET OUR STUDENT TEAM
The Social Media, Arts & Communications Program Assistant works with CEC staff and community partners to develop and amplify virtual and in-person forms of engagement, such as sharing social media campaigns, adding educational and community resources to the CEC/partner websites, and finding virtual community engagement strategies and resources for course enhancement and in support of volunteers.
LAUREN ROBLES, PZ‘24 | POLITICAL STUDIES AND MINOR IN CHICANX/LATINX STUDIES
My name is Lauren Robles! I am currently a senior at Pitzer majoring in Political Studies with a minor in Chicano/Latino Studies. Following this year I hope to pursue a career in public policy. My love for the Community Engagement Center was sparked my sophomore year when I took my first praxis class in Rural and Urban Social Movements! Working for the Social Media, Arts, and Communications pillar has been such an amazing opportunity and I am excited to continue building community on and off campus
LUCY MITNICK, PZ’ 25 | COGNITIVE SCIENCE AND MEDIA STUDIES
My name is Lucy Mitnick and I’m a current Junior at Pitzer. I’m a cognitive science and media studies double major, I was born and raised in New York, and I recently studied abroad in Quito, Ecuador. I’m super excited to be working as a part of the SMAC pillar at the CEC!
ROWAN FRANCIS TAYLOR, PZ’ 25 | MEDIA STUDIES
My name is Rowan Francis Taylor and I am a junior at Pitzer College Majoring in Media Studies with a focus in Human Centered Design. Originally from the San Francisco Bay area, I love to spend my time in nature, embarking on long hike adventures and going to the beach. Additionally, I am incredibly interested in environmental activism work, having worked as a video editor and producer for many Bay Area youth climate organizations. I just completed a semester abroad in Sevilla, Spain and I look forward to my work at the CEC!

My name is Kiana Carlisle. I am a Media Studies major with a focus on production, and Anthropology minor at Pitzer College, graduating in 2025. I was born and raised in Southern California in Ventura County. The CEC opportunities on campus changed the course of my time here at Pitzer, and I am so grateful to be able to work in the department as part of the Social Media, Arts, and Communication pillar. I hope to give back what the CEC has given me through my time here.”
