SOLANGE BAKER, PZ’23 | SOCIOLOGY AND MEDIA STUDIES
Solange Baker is a senior at Pitzer majoring in sociology and minoring in media studies. They are passionate about mental health in Black and brown communities and the intersection of oppression and child development in education. Solange’s focuses in Direct Action among the Pitzer community are SA survivor support and uplifting affinity groups’ needs and demands for safe social and learning environments.
CHAIYA TAYLOR-JACKSON, PZ’ 23 | SOCIOLOGY AND THEATRE
Chaiyia Taylor-Jackson is a senior at Pitzer majoring in sociology and minoring in Theatre. Their main interests and passions lie in the performing arts, and in efforts to ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion. Through working for the CEC’s Direct Action pillar, Chaiya is able to focus on the most effective ways to uplift underrepresented voices on campus, as well as brainstorm ways in which we can support and improve inclusivity on campus.
