COVID-19 Community Partner Support

On behalf of the Community Engagement Center and CASA Pitzer, we would like to share with you efforts being made in support of our community partners.

Partner Mask Drive

We currently seeking donations and volunteers for a mass mask making operation! We are hoping to provide 700+ for our community partners around the IE/LA/Riverside.

COVID-19 Worker Care Fund

The PEOC (Pomona Economic Opportunity Center) has set up a fund to support day labors in the IE. If you have the means to donate or share, please do! Anything helps! All proceeds go to providing food, and security for the men and women at the center. Please follow this link for more information.

Prototypes Art Supplies and Book Drive * (clothes recently added)

We are currently in need of art supplies and books for the women and children at the Prototypes Women’s Center. If you have the means to donate any books or art supplies you may do so by purchasing the items online and having them shipped to Pitzer:

We are collecting women’s clothes sizes 8 and up
We are taking children’s books, magazines, word puzzles, sudoku, crosswords, coloring books, fiction, etc.

Huerta del Valle Market Days and Family Box Sponsors

At this time Huerta Del Valle is working to assure community food security by continuing to grow, harvest,  and distribute fresh produce in vulnerable communities.With your donation of $30 you can provide fresh fruits and vegetables for a family of 4.
You can also visit HDV Markets:  Mondays (8-12pm/3-6pm), Wednesdays (8-12pm), or order online 
Donors can also support HDV by helping them meet their funding goal for the development of refrigeration units at their community gardens and farms. The cost to outfit one of the storage containers for refrigeration is $1000, the cost of a GE AC unit is $750 and the cost of the cool bottle, which does the cooling, is $350.
