Brad arrived at Pitzer in March 2015 after serving for nearly 3 years as one of the chaplains to The Claremont Colleges. Prior to joining the Consortium, Brad served as Associate Director of the Master of Arts in Bioethics program and as Administrative Director of The Center for Bioethics, Health and Society at Wake Forest University. Both the academic center and graduate program are designed to facilitate ethical exploration, analysis, and research by persons working in health care, biotechnology, and the basic sciences. From 2004–2008, he worked in college chaplaincy as Director of the Office of Spiritual Life at DePauw University. Previously, he was Assistant Director of the Pro Humanitate Center at Wake Forest University, where he facilitated vocational discernment among students, faculty, and staff. Brad received a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Classics from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Divinity degree from the Wake Forest University School of Divinity. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially on long car trips, and taking advantage of the wonderful cultural resources in the LA area.

Originally from the Northern California town of Fremont, Teresa has many roles as the Associate Director of a five-person office. She plans, organizes and facilitates career-related programming including programs with Alumni. She manages the Career Fellows, a peer advising program. She counsels students and alumni on writing resumes, finds internships, and improves interview skills and job search strategies. Students should contact her if they are interested in The Claremont Colleges On-Campus Recruiting Program and/or want to plan joint events.
Stephanie Gandara

Stephanie graduated from the University of California, Riverside where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration and Policy. She previously worked at UCR’s Health Professions Advising Center as an advisor for pre-health students. She also served as a Community Engagement and Outreach Intern focusing on recruitment of Latinx and Native American students at UCR.
Stephanie serves as our pre-law advisor and counsels students on a wide range of career services such as resume reviews, interview skills, and job search strategies. She is excited to support Pitzer students and alumni in their career journey!
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, cooking, and spending time with her Australian Cattle Dog!
Tamara Muir

Emphasis areas:
- Front Desk Responsibilities including answering questions for students, helping students access Handshake for appointments and events and helping students find the best way Career Services can meet their needs through referral to counselors, Career Fellows and Office Assistants.
- Coordinates publicity and other needs for Career Services workshops and special events.
- Manages Work Study students
- Runs the Student On-Campus Job Fair each fall
- Works with staff and faculty to post jobs on Handshake; works with students for on-campus jobs.
- Approves employers and posts jobs and internships on Handshake
- Coordinates Pitzer Internship Funding and Winter Break Shadowing Funding
Tammy is a graduate of Albion College in Michigan and received her Masters in Comparative Literature at the University of Michigan. She taught at the Community College level for 21 years before joining the Career Services team. She continues to teach part-time in the evenings. She wants to encourage students to come into our office and explore what we do.
Nicole Piedra

Nicole is an east coast transplant from the great state of New Jersey who is proudly the daughter of immigrants from Ecuador. She has worked in education as a teacher, counselor and advisor and has specific experience supporting first-generation low-income students in college and career success. Most recently, she worked as a College Access Manager with Thrive Scholars, a national nonprofit organization. Nicole received a B.A. in International Relations from American University and a M.S. in Educational Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
Here at Pitzer, Nicole counsels students on a range of topics such as résumés, cover letters, interviewing, and career discovery. She also plans and facilitates career skills workshops including partnerships with student groups on campus. Students should reach out to Nicole if they are interested in planning an event with Career Services or are curious about our workshops and the Career Fellows program.
When Nicole isn’t at Career Services, she is likely taking glamour shots of her dog (Pacha), drawing, or reading spoilers about tv shows and movies while she watches them.
