Post a Job – Faculty & Staff

HandshakeHandshake is Career Services database for student jobs. Posting through this site allows your work study or non-work study position to be seen by the greatest number of students at The Claremont Colleges.  Supervisors in each on campus department will need to create an account in order to post on campus jobs.  Posting is a continuous process. Most staff and faculty post positions in the fall when Career Services is preparing for the Student On Campus Job Fair which usually occurs during the first week of fall classes. However, posting a job can be done throughout the year and we encourage you to do so.

To create an account to advertise your on-campus positions to all students on Handshake:

  • Create an employer on Handshake
  • Complete the employer registration form and click “Sign Up.”
  • You will receive an email to confirm your email address before you can continue the registration process.
  • When registering, the company you want to join is “Pitzer College Student Employment.”  All jobs will be posted under “Pitzer College Student Employment.”

To Post an On Campus Position:

BASICS

The “Title of your job must follow these guidelines:  Division (which is the title of your department) – Job Title

Indicate whether the position is seasonal, full-time, or part-time

Click “Next” or “Details” on the bottom navigation.

Once you have hired a student, you need to complete the process by filling out the proper forms which can be found on Kronos (employee self-service portal).
