Admitted Student Day 2022

Admitted Student Day 2022

Welcome

Congratulations on your acceptance to Pitzer’s Class of 2026!

The entire Pitzer community is so excited to be bringing back our first in-person Admitted Student program since March 2019! Please join us this Saturday, April 9th, 2022 to celebrate your accomplishment being admitted to Pitzer and to envision your experience as a Pitzer student.

Our Admitted Student Day is a great opportunity for admitted students and their families to experience what our campus and community is all about. Interact with current students, faculty, and staff throughout the day to get a taste of the day in the life of a Pitzer student, and a taste of our highly ranked campus food! We hope you will join us this spring to see why you can call Pitzer your new home.

Our event will offer various programming ranging from learning more about the academic experience, student life, resources for students, financial aid, campus tours, and much more. In addition, take advantage of the opportunity to visit our location in sunny Claremont, California and learn why you will love going to college in Southern California.

COVID-19 Protocols

We are excited to welcome you to campus this spring! Pitzer has had a successful return to campus this year with our students, faculty, and staff working together to uphold our values and prioritize the safety of the entire community. Operating a college campus amidst a global pandemic is no easy feat, but we are lucky to be a part of such a mindful community. Pitzer’s high vaccination rate, with the latest requirement for booster shots having gone into effect in January, allows us to proceed with campus programming with additional safety guidelines in place.

Our campus is currently at a Level 2 Transmission. As a result, campus operations are being modified to accommodate our quarantine, isolation, and testing needs, and to prevent further spread and exposure. Based on current LA County Health Guidelines, we will begin operating at partial capacity for campus tours with increased safety measures in place. Please see below for our updated visit protocols and policies.

All visitors will be asked to follow the Admission Visitor Policy, which includes required proof of vaccination and wearing a mask for all guests.

Covid-19 Update – Residence Hall Tours Cancelled

In working with Pitzer’s community Covid-19 Task Force and administration, we are unfortunately unable to allow visitors inside our residence halls at this time.

We are currently experiencing a surge in positive COVID-19 cases here at Pitzer and at The Claremont Colleges. As students are quarantining inside their residence halls, for the safety of our students and visitors we have cancelled the planned residence hall tours for Admitted Student Day.

Residence Life and Housing staff will still be available during our Resource Fair. Additionally, for more information about Residence Life for students at Pitzer, please visit our Residence Life webpage, which does include a video tour inside first year student housing.

We continue to work closely with our healthcare providers, and they are optimistic that we will start to see a decline in cases and student isolations as early as next week. For more information on our Covid-19 guidances for on campus students, check out our Pathway Forward webpage.

Directions & Parking

  • The Office of Admission is located in Pitzer Hall at the northwest corner of East Mesa Parking Lot: here are Google Maps Directions to our building, and visitors can input Pitzer Hall into their GPS for best directions to arrive at our office. You can also visit our Directions website for more detailed written directions.
  • There will be students and staff helping with parking upon your arrival. You may park in the designated Admission Guest parking spots located on the Pitzer Service Road, or anywhere in the East Mesa Parking Lot. You may also park in the Holden Parking lot, located to the west of the Pitzer Service Road.
  • Parking on campus is going to fill up quickly. We recommend arriving promptly so that you have time to park, complete your health screening and documentation review at check-in before the program begins. Overflow parking will be available along the southbound length of Claremont Blvd between Foothill and 6th Street. This is unlimited parking all day.
