BASHEL LEWIS

My name is Bashel Lewis ’19, and I’m a recent Pitzer College graduate with a degree in Organizational Studies. I wanted to reach out and share how to make the most out of your Pitzer experience!

Check out the video below to learn more about my Pitzer experience:

I’m originally from Atlanta, GA, so my move to Southern California came as quite a surprise to my family! I was looking for a college that focused on inclusivity and community engagement, and a mentor recommended Pitzer to me.

Throughout my time at Pitzer, I’ve been able to work with local and international communities to address issues of equity and access, and environmental justice through interdisciplinary approaches.

In addition to faculty members who are passionate about fostering my love for education, I found a supportive community at Pitzer that supported me and all of my social identities.

I’ve had the chance to travel the world, volunteer at local non-profit organizations, and meet students from different backgrounds. I’m currently the founder of a personal lifestyle blog, and a Diversity Intern in the Admission Office. These campus leadership roles have all been supported by the culture/climate that Pitzer works so hard to cultivate!

I share some of my experiences with you in hopes that you will get a glimpse into the vast opportunities offered at Pitzer! Feel free to reach out to the Admission Office if you have any questions about the application process.
