PZ Webinar: Community Engagement Center: Pitzer’s Commitment to Social Justice!
What it is: a 30-minute online conversation with Dr. Tessa Hicks Peterson about Pitzer’s Community Engagement Center and its history of supporting Pitzer faculty, students, staff and community partners in forwarding social responsibility and community engagement in surrounding communities.
What you’ll learn: the numerous opportunities for community engagement provided by the CEC, including the Jumpstart and Camp Afflerbaugh-Page rograms, and Pitzer’s innovative Pitzer in Ontario program, where students take courses in urban studies and quantitative analysis while immersing themselves within the Ontario, CA community.
