Pitzer, in cooperation with other institutions, offers some unique advanced degree programs:
Joint Medical Program
Through this rigorous, accelerated seven-year program, students obtain a BA from Pitzer and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences. This program produces physicians who focus on disease prevention, health promotion and compassionate treatment of the patient as a whole person.

Pitzer students can work simultaneously on an undergraduate and masters degree at the Claremont Graduate University (CGU) in the following areas:
- Cultural Studies
- Financial Engineering
- Information Systems
- Politics & Policy
- Teacher Education
- Women’s Studies
Accepted students begin MA coursework at CGU during their senior year. Applicants must be recommended by their Pitzer faculty adviser and apply to the program during their junior year.
This five-year program is offered with Columbia University, Washington University in St. Louis, the University of Southern California, Rensselaer Polytechnic University and Boston University.
