Eligibility and Preparation The Oxford exchange is highly selective. Participants must be either juniors or seniors and have a minimum GPA of 3.5. Students must demonstrate a consistently high level of academic achievement. Strength in writing is emphasized.
Application Pitzer College Study Abroad Application, Sarah Lawrence application, and any forms required by Oxford University.
Program Dates Yearlong program only: Late September to late June
Required Courses The program is divided into three terms. Students take two courses, tutorials, for a total of 10 credits per term. Upon successful completion of the entire program, students will earn 30 credits.
Independent Study See a Study Abroad Adviser
Course Options Students participate in two academic tutorials each term. Tutorials may range from History of Economic Thought to Existential Philosophy & Literature. For more information, please see: http://www.slc.edu/international-exchange/oxford/program/tutorials-overview.html.
Credit Possible Students must earn 10 credits per term for a total of 30 credits in order to earn eight course credits at Pitzer.  
Housing/Board Options Students are housed in flats in Merifield, Wadham College student housing. Students may choose to prepare meals in their flats and/or take meals on campus.
Advising Notes Competitive application. Only 2 Pitzer students may be accepted each year. Students should have an alternate program given the competitive nature of the Oxford exchange.
