ACTFL OPI Tester with Full Certification

Paula Gutierrez focuses on Spanish heritage learners, second language teaching pedagogy, and community-engaged language learning. She is the Coordinator of the lower division Spanish language classes, and of the Conversation and Tutoring program. Gutiérrez also has an interest in sociological perspectives on Latin American societies and cultures: in particular social agency and political and social movements; human rights, memory and justice; and popular culture.
