Upon receipt of a request for services and the appropriate documentation, Academic Support Services works with you to provide or establish the most suitable and reasonable accommodations or services.

Career Services

Career Services assists students with exploring their career options and provides them with the skills they will need to locate internships and jobs. Students are encouraged to use the office as soon as they arrive at Pitzer. Career Services provides a wide array of services, programs, and resources including career counseling, mock interviews, graduate school information, alumni contact names, resume writing, job search and interviewing advice, 5-college on-campus recruiting program, fellowship listings, and career-related workshops and seminars. It also maintains full-time, part-time, on-campus and summer job listings.

Center for Asian Pacific American Students (CAPAS)

The Center for Asian Pacific American Students (CAPAS) seeks to enrich and develop social, intellectual and personal growth in our students by providing Asian American resources as well as a welcoming, supportive environment. The Center serves as an advocate for the Asian and Pacific Islander community and promotes an educational dialogue that embraces the unique experiences of ethnic communities, the cultural fabric of our institution.

Jumpstart

Through one-to-one mentoring, students of The Claremont Colleges, working for Jumpstart, improve the school readiness skills of at-risk preschoolers, specifically in the areas of at-risk preschoolers, particularly in the areas of language, literacy and social skills. The Jumpstart mission is to build school success, family involvement and future teachers — one child at a time.

PAct

The PAct Program Board is designed to promote two things: access and involvement. This structure provides more activities and events, using a wellness framework, and makes it easier for any student to get involved in campus life. The Student Directors meet weekly, planning and conducting activities on and off campus, and making allocations for one-time events organized by any student.

Substance Abuse Education and Outreach

The Rabbit Hole is a resource designed to assist students who have general questions about drugs and alcohol, as well as a safe place to go for confidential individual counseling and support. A Substance Education Counselor is available to provide confidential and anonymous support and referral services to students whose lives are affected by drugs (including alcohol). Services are available to all students including those who are concerned about the drug use of a family member or friend.
