SMILE! Photo for Your ID Card

Photo ID

Please send us a picture of yourself. Your picture is required by Friday, June 21, 2013 in order for us to issue you an ID card on the day of your arrival.

New first-year students: your ID card is also your room key so it is very important that you send us a photo by the deadline.

  • 1. Send us a digital picture (preferred)
  • Requirements
  • • File size: 1024x768 pixels or above, in color, with a resolution of no less than 75 dpi.
  • • Head shots only. The photo is for identification purposes. Photos containing hats, sunglasses, props or silly faces will not be accepted.
  • • The photo should be taken from of distance of about 5 feet against a plain background (a white wall) in a well-lighted area, with the digital camera set to take a 1024x768 pixel-sized image, and with auto-flash on. This type of photo will provide us with exactly the kind of source material we need to produce a typical and effective photo ID card.
  • • Save the photo image in a .jpg or .jpeg format.
  • Name your file with your first and last name so we can identify the photo. (i.e. cecil_sagehen.jpg)
  • • Send ONE photo to pitzer_photos@pitzer.edu with the following in the subject: Pitzer Student ID Card Photo.

  • 2. Mail us a hard copy of your picture.
  • Requirements
  • • 2x4 or 3x5 picture in color.
  • • Head shots only. The photo is for identification purposes. Photos containing hats, props or silly faces will be accepted.

The Alternative

3. You will be issued a temporary card and have to go to CUC's Connection at the Library where you will wait in a long line in order to have a picture taken and receive your ID.
