Dearest New Students,
Congratulations and welcome to Pitzer College! I am sure that one of our goals is similar to one of your own, i.e. to complete your degree in an efficient and effective manner, and, at the same time, enjoy the responsibilities and privileges of being both a college student and a learner. One of the most exciting and memorable aspects of the Pitzer College experience is the opportunity to get to know and live with other students in the residence halls. Our goal is to support the educational mission of the College by creating living communities that celebrate the College’s values of community, diversity, dialogue, inquiry and action. Through the variety of programs, resources and services offered here, we hope to nurture your development as a well-rounded individual, capable of balancing your individual rights with a responsibility to the greater community.
The Office of Student Affairs is delighted and privileged to be a part of this journey with you. Please don’t hesitate to let us know how we can support you through the transition. We look forward to having you with us in August!
Moya Carter, Dean of Students
