Gold Student Center
The Gold Student Center (GSC) strives to be the "living room" for Pitzer College. Opened in 1995, the 12,000 square-foot complex center houses the service desk, fitness room, gallery, multi-purpose room, student organizations office, and a the Shakedown Cafe, a student-run eatery.

Pitzer Pool
The Gold Center pool is open for use by Pitzer students, staff, alumni, faculty and summer program participants. Immediate family members may also use the pool when accompanied by the Pitzer student, staff, alumni, faculty. It is not open to the general public or persons from the other Claremont Colleges unless by prior arrangement. The pool is typically open every day from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm.
Fitness Room
The Gold Center Fitness Room is open for use by Pitzer students, staff, alumni, faculty and summer program participants. Immediate family members may also use the fitness room when accompanied by the Pitzer student, staff, alumni, faculty. It is not open to the general public or persons from the other Claremont Colleges unless by prior arrangement.
Located in the GSC
The Service Desk provides numerous services including general resource information, faxing, photocopying, checkout of basic camping equipment (nominal fee), sports equipment and games, student event registration and assistance in creating and distributing publicity materials.
The Fitness Room is equipped with exercise machines, an aerobics/dance floor, and climbing wall.
The Circle Gallery has exhibits, periodicals, comfortable furniture for hanging out, and other resources.
The Student Organizations Room provides a computer, copying, filing and telephone resources for the PAct Program Board, Student Senate and all other recognized Pitzer student organizations.
The Shakedown Café, located upstairs in the Gold Student Center, is a student-run organic eatery. It features an experimental and diverse set of World cuisines with tea, appetizers, smoothies, desserts and hookahs all available for poolside lounging or study breaks. The hours are Sunday through Thursday, 6 pm-11 pm with events and movie screenings hosted regularly.
The multi-purpose room houses a big screen TV and lounging furniture. It can be easily reconfigured for dances, concerts and other productions.
