Come to a POA meeting!
If you are interested in travelling or the outdoors, then Pitzer Outdoor Adventure Club is for you! Getting involved is easy! Come along to one of our POA meetings, meet people with similar interests and join them on a trip nominated by your fellow students!
Sign up for a trip
The best way to truly experience what POA has to offer is to go on a POA trip! The only way to ensure a position on an outgoing trip is to sign up for one. How? POA typically announce new trips for a weekend the Wednesday before at a POA meeting and have people sign up for them, then and there. If any positions remain, vacancies are displayed the next day on this website under Outgoing Trips This Week. You can enquire about any trip vacancies by contacting the Trip Leader (see Outgoing Trips This Week).
Plan your own trip
Anyone can plan a trip! Please refer to POA's guidelines for how to design and prepare for a POA trip: How to Design a Trip. Keep in mind that each outgoing trip must have present a POA leader. It is recommended you come to one of the POA meetings in order to get to know the POA leaders and find out what experience they have to offer.
POA Trip Leaders
To be classified a POA leader you must have (1) an updated certificate in CPR and First Aid (2) experience with the type of trip being planned and (3) have attended a POA trip.
