The purpose of the Claremont Colleges Equestrian Team is to bring students who share a passion for horses together so that they might further (or begin) their riding careers while in college. An important aspect of the club is volunteering, and members are expected to participate in designated volunteer activities.  Most members compete in horse shows against other local college teams as a part of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association.  We strive to have fun, learn from each other, and become better, more competitive riders.

As a member of the Equestrian Team, riders are encouraged to, but not required to show. They attend weekly meetings, help at fundraisers, join in on Equestrian Team activities, and take lessons with either our huntseat or western riding instructors.
