Direct Action Claremont

D.A.C. is a coalition of students and activists in the Claremont community who believe in direct action as a means for community organizing and social change. We aim to confront the major sources of oppression and the negative consequences of capitalism in the greater Los Angeles area: racism, classism, homophobia, nationalism, fascism, neo-liberalism, sexism, and religious intolerance. We believe that it is necessary to challenge and remove instruments of oppression in order for communities to win the struggle for their own autonomy. If you feel aligned with these ideals or find yourself intrigued by them and wanting to learn more, we invite you to join us in a meeting. Direct Action Claremont is non-dogmatic and recognizes no single way as being the correct path to liberation; nor do we presume to know what liberation will look like. We allow only that the way is democratic and anti-authoritarian!
