Robin Kramer '75 to Receive Remarkable Woman Award

Robin Kramer '75will receive the Hannah G. Solomon Remarkable Woman Award on April 1, presented by the Los Angeles Section of the National Council of Jewish Women. The award honors individuals who have changed the lives of others through their leadership efforts and service.
Kramer, who has a degree in Political Studies from Pitzer College, serves as Chief of Staff for Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa; worked as Deputy Mayor and Chief of Staff to former Mayor Richard J. Riordan; served two terms on the Pitzer College Board of Trustees; and sits on the President's Council. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband Neil Kramer and has three sons: Benjamin, Daniel and Gabriel.
Kramer learned about Los Angeles in various positions including the CORO leadership training program, the LAPD, ACLU, Max Factor, the Service Employees Union and political campaigns. Her first job was Director of the Southern California Democratic Party and in the years between, she was a Senior Fellow at the California Community Foundation, Director of the Broad Foundation and an organization and management consultant to leading philanthropic, cultural and educational institutions in Southern California.
