Lexi Spencer-Notabartolo '07 has been awarded an internship at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium for this summer.

Lexi Spencer-Notabartolo ’07 has been awarded the Scripps College internship to NATO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. The internship will last approximately 8-10 weeks and Lexi will work directly for the U.S. Ambassador to NATO, The Honorable Nicholas Burns.

"Its little wonder that she was accepted to serve at NATO headquarters--Lexi is a powerhouse of a student, a dynamic force to be encountered,” said David Andrews, Director of the EU Center of California. “Her keen acumen is supplemented by fierce tenacity. She will be an excellent addition to their staff."

As a trustee scholar, Lexi has been extensively involved with debate at the Claremont Colleges throughout her time at Pitzer. Growing up in Nevada, Lexi particularly loves the travel aspect to her debate involvement, and looks forward to traveling to Belgium this summer.

“Debate at the Claremont Colleges is a great way to travel. I have been to China, Turkey, England and Ireland so far,” Lexi explained. “The personal relationships you are able to develop with professors at Pitzer have really helped me along the way. They have pointed out so many of the opportunities. They could because they knew me—I wasn’t just another face in the class.”
