Blake Russell ‘05 Named ATHGO Intern

Blake RussellBlake Russell ’05 has been accepted as an intern at the ATHGO International Spring 2005 Symposium. Blake, a double major in International and Intercultural Studies and Foreign Languages and Cultures, wants to effect change in the world and believes this conference allows her to take a closer look and feel for the real mechanisms that comprise the United Nations as it is governed and functioning today.

The symposium involves 400 students and entry-level public servants from world universities and UN Permanent Missions. The three-day event will focus on the importance of the United Nations Millennium Developmental Goals and revel implementation strategies designed by the 400 participants.

Russell participated in the Pitzer in Italy External Studies Program. She is fluent in several languages including Italian and French.
