Rob Magnuson Smith '91 Wins Writing Competition

Rob Magnuson Smith '91 is the recipient of the 2004 William Faulkner-William Wisdom Creative Writing Competition. His winning manuscript is titled The Gravedigger.

Andre Bernard, Publisher, Harcourt, was the judge for the Novel Category.

He had this to say about Smith’s manuscript:

"To my mind there was one clear standout. In terms of characterization, plot,unusual fictional universe-making and sheer ability to create The Gravedigger wins hands-down."
