Bridget Baker '82, highlighted for work with NBC Cable
Bridget Baker '82, was singled out by NBC for her contributions to the company. NBC promoted her work as part of GE's celebration of earning the prestigious Catalyst Award for its outstanding initiative, "Developing Women Leaders: Synergistic Forces Driving Change."
Baker is the senior vice president of cable distribution at NBC Cable Networks. She joined NBC 15 years ago and has been instrumental in building the value of NBC's cable assets. She was a political studies major at Pitzer.
Baker will be honored this month as part of the class of 2004 "Wonder Women" of cable. She is ranked among the Top 100 in CableFax Magazine's most influential people in cable and communications. In addition to serving on the Pitzer College Board of Trustees, she was a founding member of the Southern California CTAM chapter and served on its Board for two years. She is an executive member of Women in Cable and Telecommunications and serves on the Council of the Los Angeles Library Foundation.
